Taking advantage that we don't have to work Monday (MLK Day) with some Sunday night karaoke at Zonie's Closet.

An uncut guitar string.  Uncut and the only silver one because the original had to be replaced when my friend Jascha broke it playing my guitar at my birthday one year.  I love that it is unique because it is a nice reminder of him as he passed away this past year.

Concentrating hard separating the pipe cleaners by color before we made our magnet bottles.

Today was supposed to be my last first class of the semester, but it was cancelled due to this snow. I'm glad b/c I got stuck in my apartment parking lot on my way to work, slid at every stop and turn on my way to work and back, and slid through a stop sign on my way home at the same time another car did (luckily I managed to stop half-way through b/c he didn't). I wasn't looking forward to attempting the interstate at rush hour considering all this and that they kept getting closed down due to wrecks. Yay to putting off starting classes for another week!

Gave Cy & Murray the monsters from their drawings and they loved them

First day back at my internship and my first day in their usual elementary building.  Much better than the one they were in during the renovations!  This one has brighter colors and murals all over.

My first time cooking with red cabbage.  I made a warm cabbage salad that was delicious!

Had drinks with some of Laura's friends last night.  I like the different colors of beer.

I had the boys I nanny each draw a monster one day I watched them then had them turned into stuffed toys for them for Christmas gifts.  Because it was special order they have to wait until this week when I watch them to get them.  I think they will like them.

I made it out of the house for the first time in a week!  It was a bit hard getting out of my parking spot and the roads weren't great but I made it to work and the store.  Apparently the food trucks weren't as successful.  Only the "weird" veggies were left at the store.

Ringo does not mind at all that we have to let our faucets drip so the pipes don't freeze in this cold!

Hipster Daisy!  Really she's just trying to stay warm in these freezing temps.

The sun on the snow was so pretty today but it was waaaayyy too cold (-37 windchill) to venture far to take pics. This is the tree right outside our apartment.

They are calling for a big snow storm and super cold temps starting tomorrow.  Pickles is ready in her cute winter coat.

The breakfast I made today.  Bacon polenta and poached eggs.  It was my first time making polenta and my first time making poached eggs.  Looks pretty good and tasted pretty good too (at least in my opinion, Laura found out she doesn't like polenta).

My sister-in-law's daughter had a baby around Christmas so we weren't able to celebrate our Christmas until New Year's Eve.  My sister-in-law and brother live in Alabama so Cheri is always hoping for a White Christmas.  Mother Nature came through for her for our Christmas celebration!

New Year, New 365 Project

I have decided to do another 365 project.  This year starting at the New Year.  I'm very excited because I think this year will be a great one!  My point of doing the 365 project is to document a year in my life; to have a collection of memories in photos.  While that is my main purpose, this time around one of my new year's resolutions is to better learn how to use my camera and to improve my photography which will hopefully translate into this project.
